I've got the game and am not really sure what to think. I think I'll have to play it some more to figure out exactly how to get good at this game. Let me just say that if you've got fast twitchy fingers, then this game is for you. It's one of those games where you've got to be fast with the buttons and controls. And you must never forget that there's a shield button for emergencies or you'll suffer the consequences (i.e. lose your health and then GAME OVER!). It's purely arcade. Once you die, you die and go back to level 1 and start all over again. I've only made it to level 2 so far since these old fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be.

Worth it for $19.99? I think some gamers will love this game and think it's more than worth it. I personally think it should be more like $9.99. But then again, I've been playing some of the great old games on ljZ and maybe I'm spoiled. Or maybe it's just because I suck at this type of game and never get very far. Like someone said, there should be a demo for everyone to try the game out before paying for the game.

Oh well. Gotta get back to the game. One more time. Need to practice, practice, and practice some more. I can't be this bad, can I?! Joystick

Think asteriods on steroids and you have exploids. It is actually very fun, but as mentioned, it is totally arcade, so don't get it if you are looking for an immersive storyline.

I like it.

Post more later...

I have a short attention span so this game sounds perfect. I will buy it today.

I bought this game last night (even though I have an RMA on my Zod and am returning it tommorow...), and at first it seems bland... For some reason though, the more I play it, the more I like it. I'm sure I would enjoy it even more if my ships direction didn't keep jerking right, but it is still fun.
This is one of those games where as you get better, the game becomes more fun... rather than a lot of today's games where as you get good at a game, the game becomes boring because it is no longer a challenge.

I'm not sure it is worth $20 right now... but maybe once I get a bit better it will be. Smile

Well, I for one lost immediate interest when I read posts comparing it to Asteriods. I don't think I'll shell out $20 for an Asteroids on Steroids game. Give me a free demo and I might change my mind.

I never liked the original Asteroids -- always ended up just spinning around firing like crazy in all directions. Either that or I'd blast full speed across the screen trying to blast everything in the way into bits.
