Version 0.5.10 released @ 10:17am EST on Sat, 7/9/2005
Bugs fixed:
- Remembers Graffiti panel and orientation (landscape vs portrait) that was active before thumbboard app was launched and restores the device back to these settings when the thumbboard app closes.
- Sound FX should now be silent when system-wide sounds are turned off (impacted LifeDrive users).
- A few performance tweaks which probably won't be noticed by anyone. |

Version 0.5.11 released @ 3:45pm EST on Sat, 7/9/2005
Bugs fixed:
- Last version broke something for LifeDrive users resulting in the statusbar remaining visible (which also ends up covering over keyboard keys). Fixed this, but I may have to release another version to fix it for the Prefs screen as well. |

Version 0.5.12 released @ 7:37pm EST on Mon, 7/11/2005
Bugs fixed:
- Process to assign hard button fixed to now save key-down press instead of key-up (reported as causing problems for a Sony TH55 user).
- Once you assigned a hard button, trying to reassign it didn't get saved properly (I think this was broken in one of the most recent releases).
- App should now display right-side-up on devices where it was previously displaying upside down (reported by some palmOne device owners). Fix unconfirmed. |

Version 0.5.13 released @ 8:04am EST on Wed, 7/13/2005
Bugs fixed:
- Fixed issue which was causing error "Error 20, Attempt to read beyond end of stream" in certain circumstances.
- Added slight delay when app first launches where it won't recognize any hard button presses. This is to address the issue where if you assign the trigger button to the D-Pad center button press-and-hold, you may end up launching and immediately closing the thumbboard app unintentionally because the center button is currently hard-coded to serve as an app Close/Done button. |

Version 0.5.14 released @ 8:04am EST on Wed, 7/13/2005
Changes:
- Increased the push-and-hold delay from 0.2 seconds to 0.3 seconds. Let me know if you think this is better/worse.
- Launching via the menu "Edit/Keyboard" option will "paste" text back the same way as when you launch via a hard button.
- All hard buttons except for those used by the app and the power button are disabled when in the app. For example, pressing the "Home" button will have no effect. You need to exit the thumbboard app first using the hidden close button or center D-Pad button (if your PDA supports it - I think the Sony scroll wheel "click" will also do this).
Bugs fixed:
* Numerous Tungsten T3 (and all palmOne PDA?) fixes:
- App should now launch right-side-up on the T3 (and hopefully any other apps that were experiencing this problem) as well as restore the PDA upon exiting back to the orientation it was in before launching the app.
- Center D-Pad button should close thumbboard (and paste text back). Left/Right/Up/Down should allow you to navigate the cursor.
- Other T3/palmOne bugs fixed. Note that you cannot currently assign the trigger button to the center D-Pad button. |

Version 0.6.0 released @ 10:09am EST on Sat, 7/30/2005
Changes/Enhancements:
- Updated keyboard layout. Let me know what you think. The interface logic has been completely overhauled and the foundation is now in place to support skinning at some point in the not-too-distant future (thanks go to HB++ pro Olivier).
- Added "OK" button. Now you can see it! Note also that this key now also has an Alt function of "X" which means "Cancel" so that if you change your mind or muck up a long memo you were writing, you don't have to save it. Woohoo!
- Ability to mute volume within the app. This is currently not saved anywhere, so every time you launch the thumbboard app the sound FX will default back on again. You can access this via the new "Menu" button. Currently this functionality is the only functionality available on the new Menu screen.
- Clear functionality restored. Will prompt the user to make sure that they want to do this. Note that this prompt is not thumb-friendly. That will come later.
I might be forgetting some things. If I remember anything, I'll edit this post later.

Version 0.6.2 released @ 7:00pm EST on Mon, 8/1/2005
Changes/Enhancements:
- Updated keyboard design again. Keyboard now arcs again. Let me know if you're happy with this one.
Bugs fixed:
- Upon closing the thumbboard app, the device should restore back to the proper screen orientation (reported by LifeDrive users).
- Lag reduced/eliminated (*BUT* for the time being, this required turning off visual feedback when you press a key).

Version 0.6.3 released @ 9:47pm EST on Tues, 8/2/2005
Bugs fixed:
- Skin tweaked. Apostrophe (aka single quote) added back to the "L" key. The functionality was always there, I just lost the graphic for the apostrophe somewhere along the way.
That's it. Sorry this release isn't more exciting, but I wanted to get this fix out ASAP. |
