Hi Guys
Congrats for an excellent piece of software. OOOH FREEWARE TOO....!
As requested by Scott, here are some of my comments I e-mailed him about the new version 0.6.5:
- Key response TOO slow to be useful. Big part of using this software is being able to type FAST. Scott replied that this is because of the VISUAL feedback of the keys. I am not sure if you really think that this feedback is essential for the software functionality. As for me, I am never able to see the keys when I type given the size of my fingers. I'd rather trade this feature with a faster response.
- I wonder what you think about the sound used for the Audio feedback. I'd prefer a more "clicky" sound (though not as noisy as the one used by Indigo Softworks)? So, what do you think?
- The Audio setting (in the Menu page) is not stored and has to be changed every time I use Thumbboard.
- A more square-shaped keys layout (rather than the Blackberry style currently used) may look more professional.
- This last comment may be pretty strange, but I always hit the letter NEXT to what is intended (to the right of the intended letter when using my right hand and vice versa) probably in my attempt to SEE which key I am typing. It would be an interesting idea to try to allign the letter names at the PERIPHERY of the letter boxes (to the LEFT side for letters on the RIGHT-hand side of the keyboard and vice versa. Like this [ W] and [P ]). Any brains around?
Hint: This is my first time to try this software. So, please forgive me if amy of these comments has been previously posted by others. _________________ mmalah |

Hey Scoot I have a suggestion. Say could you make one of the triggers maybee the left one a backspace button. So that say while you are using the thumbboard and you make a mistake you wouldnt have to try to get the stylus out and stuff to hit backspace a couple of times. You could just quickly tap the left trigger button and continue without repositioning your fingers. I dont know what do yall think? I think it would make mistakes alot faster to clear up. _________________ Myspace proved to me that there are millions of people in this world that should NEVER be allowed to design websites... Why would you get the stylus out to backspace? You can just hit the backspace key with your thumb. |

| And to move the cursor back without deleting characters, use the joystick. |

| FYI, v0.6.6 just posted now allows you to set in the prefs panel whether or not visual or audio feedback is provided. With visual feedback turned off, you may see a little better performance. |
